Would feel much better about our chances if they would let harris play the rest of season and get the learning curve out of the way. Think a b out how good clemson will be next year with watson having a year under his belt!

Yeah. You can judge several posters' lives by a few posts, but those who disagree with you are "uneducated losers" for offering a sober assessment (a judgment) on the state of the team based upon half a fricking season.

I don't care if they disagree. Hell, I agree with several of them. As positive as I try to be, I know Miles needs to improve in some areas....particularly his being so hard-headed about change. I just don't go completely ape-shite crazy on here and demand everyone be fired. I believe LSU is truly young, and will get better. If they don't, by all means, send his arse packing. I have no issues with that. He has made a lot of money and despite what you guys say, has earned it.

As for comparing education. How would we do that? I mean realistically? I don't think you want to go there....I mean I have no idea about you, but I have a pretty powerful graduate level degree. You could have me beat, not bragging, but you would need a PHD more than likely....then you got me.

Yet, somehow, Mid Majors can put a functioning offense on the field and LSU cannot.

Do these mid majors have true freshman in every skilled position and played two top 5 teams one on the road??

LSU has had a good offense in 3 of Miles' 10 seasons.

No we've had 3 ggood qbs in 3 of miles 10 years.

quote:

LSU is 5-5 in our last 10 SEC games,

And three or 4 of those loses were to top 5 teams. What's Miles overall SEC record??? Calm down relax we have a rebuilding year with a very very bright future. Miles isn't going anywhere and doesn't need to change anything. He along with every other coach needs PLAYERS which we have yet they are young as young as you can get. Well be fine relax man.

Ok. So everyone thinks that we'll be competing for a National Championship next year?

Gotcha.

1. We are very young at DT, so another year will help all of them across the board. Also Beckwith/Garrett >>>>> Welter/ Literally anyone.

2. I think some guys come back that will surprise you. I think hunter and Hawkins aren'y the lock they make them out to be. Dural is skinny as frick, and needs to bulk up before going to the NFL.

3. how do you know the team won't gel next year? I mean if gelling is what concerns you that will change year to year.

Okay. OP, can LSU gear up for a NC run? Yes. I think they can finish the season strong. Even if it's only a 6-6 year with a good bowl win. Mississippi state only went 6-6 last year. Their strength is seniority and experience.

LSU is deathly young this year. Most of us had the blinders on hoping it wouldn't turn out this way. Anyway. I believe that more players will return than expected. This year is evidence of that. Really only two players have looked good so far and that is Dural and Mills. BUT both could benefit from another year. Especially Dural in draft stock. Hunter will return because no one will pick him up. He hasn't looked dominant. Look at Freak last year. Rasco is gone, but the rest of the DL returns. Kwon will leave. He's ready. Can be replaced. Secondary returns. Offensively maybe only Alexander would leave. And even he could benefit from another year.

I believe these players are starting to realize that with the new contract structure that staying till your senior year is most beneficial to "on the fence" guys. On top of that, LSU will eventually settle on a QB and get some chemistry going. Once they do, they can build off that into the offseason.

No we want I never said that. In my opinion 2016 is our year. But I'm glad to see your raging hate of Miles makes it impossible to discuss anything reasonably. Again calm down relax enjoy football season you only get so many.

while we may be weak on the lines, our scheme is not terrible. In 2011 and 2012 we had a top 3 defense nationally. Our offensive scheme last year produced two 1000 yd receivers, 1000 yd rusher and a 3000 yd passer. We will be really good next year.

inb4 somebody mentions that Auburn went from 0-8 in conference to 13-1 and the Title Game in one year?

Not saying it's LIKELY, but nevertheless is proven to be POSSIBLE...

I see your point. I mean, he has only led LSU to the third best program over the last nine years in terms of final rankings....mf sux, LSU should be #1 in that category, right? If he could coach, he would be 129-0 during his tenure here right, or whatever the number of games he has played. geez

There is copious amounts of venom from the other side. You have some from the more positive camp calling into question people's maturity, education, and intelligence on a regular basis. Simply for stating the program under miles is on the downturn and he will need to amend his ways to right the ship.

I can't stand Miles' imprint on the offense and he is slowly draining any joy I get from watching my alma mater play and that saddens me. It used to always be one of my favorite things.

I expect Dodd to be the starting Center with Pocic and Clapp in there somewhere. You've got to have OL's that can quickly pick up their assignments on the fly and know who they're teaming up with in the correct "Zone." Individual size and strength are not as important as "Team Work." Recruiting the right type of OL is crucial to this. Agility and Football Smarts are critical in Zone.

What about Brumfield, Boutte, Malone, Hawkins, and Austin. They can't "quickly pick up their assignments"? No "Football Smarts" among them? They have "size and strength" but no "smarts"? Not "up north" enough? There is no way you are not BRAVEHEART.

We couldn't even sniff the bcs top two last year with Mettenburger, hill, landry, beckam, etc...

You think Miles is just going to wake up and learn to coach and jennings learn to make a correct read, not

7-5 as long as miles and jenning are together
