Whats all this talk about the GOM cooling off? It was my understanding that the GOM was gonna be on fire the next few years.

Looks like I jumped the gun on initiating a position in COP. Got in last week at $72. Will average down if it goes much lower.
What about KMI? They have already stated that the dividend will be $2 per share next year and with the current stock price that yield is almost 6%. They also plan on raising the dividend ~10% each year.

I was on a conference call all morning and missed COP below $64

I'm in at 63.71. Still have some money on the sidelines to buy more if it keeps sliding

well done.
ETA: Did not expect my buy price of $63 to come into play any time this week.

You think it's done? Crude expected to continue plunging with supply so high.

Any of ya'll have any thoughts on BP? Sold Apple and looking to get either XOM or BP.

Has that question been a big discussion already?

Once again concerning BP, rumors are abundant about them selling the GOM platform(s). I'm not talking just one, possibly ALL of them. Major cuts in head count, supposed to be announced soon. This info coming from people in and outside of BP.

Not comfortable divulging that info. Have heard one company mentioned for as many as three, and another one for Atlantis. Scuttlebutt is they desire to sell controlling interests to get out of OPS in the GoM. Have not heard mention of the drilling side being affected. Ironic, since it was the drilling side that got them into this mess. Two dates have been mentioned, 11/15 and 12/15. Don't know if that is to announce layoffs and/or asset sales. Certainly, anyone can confirm, deny, or add to what I've mentioned.

Either way the market usually likes asset sales and personnel cuts even more.
