I liked my Mongoose Villain, until the only black guy in my neighborhood stole it.

Totally had a mongoose menace when I was 11. It was a good bike. Not superb, but good.

In my old neighborhood, having a top-of-the-line bike was a necessity.

PK Ripper, Kuwahara, Hutch, or Redline were about the only acceptable options.

Redline ruled my neighborhood. I remember there being two versions. A 100 and 200 I think.

I had a redline with Cooks 3 piece cranks, I remember the name because they were as much as the rest of the bike.
