Open enrollment begins 10/15 for the company I work for. Received notice today that due to increasing cost, they are no longer to offer 90/10 coverage. Also to expect the premium to increase for the lesser plan. Last April the family coverage I have increased by $220, I have a family of three. I pay now around $600 per month, also Walgreens and CVS are being dropped from our prescription plan. I guess this is just part of the change Obama promised.

I'm interested to see how much the increase will be for lesser coverage with the 80/20 plan. In the company letter, it quoted that they were needing to cover a 65 million $ increase in coverage expense. This is a large company that spans office's from Florida to California. I believe you are correct that most companies open enrollment for the upcoming year begins in October, maybe the main reason republicans clean house in November.

Only increase I have is 10% in premium, which is about average for the last 10 years. Oh, and now I can use CVS and Walgreens.
