Oh the irony.

One things for certain, this team's completely different from the previous ones that have failed in about every single way. Coaching staff, style, depth, physicality, etc.

Fleury has been phenomenal.

See how it goes when the time comes. That why you make big changes when necessary.

Man you must feel good with the Islanders nipping at your heels and you only have to face:
- Colorado
- Florida.....twice
- Tampa, who you beat mercilessly tonight

Over the same timeframe the Islanders have:
- Detroit
- Tampa
- Montreal

that's a brutal haul.

Definitely, we need it, mumps is a 2 week recovery time the doctor on ESPN said, so that means no Crosby or Bennett for another week+.

Missing our entire first line is pretty tough but we're handling it extremely well.

Beau Bennett has been diagnosed with the mumps.
More updates will be provided as they become available.

Good lord Toronto is unreal right now.

Just skullfricked the Ducks tonight.

Jackets extend their streak to 7 with a shootout win in Detroit. Was probably the most enjoyable game I've watched all year. Bob and Howard both were terrific in net.

Toronto being good really throws the Atlantic division into a complete guessing game.

I think those top 4 are pretty interchangeable. If Boston gets healthy and starts winning that could really make things interesting

Rick Nash with 19 and 20 tonight. Second in the league.

For his sake, I hope he can score in the playoffs.

Beautiful! Finally getting healthy and we see what this team can be. Wish we had Artie back though, probably the most unsung hero on this team.

If they can get above .500 before the break, they will have a fighting chance. We are red hot right now.

Rimmer said during the game that in terms of games played, the Jackets were only one point behind where they stood last year at this point. I was kind of shocked by that. Gave me some hope.

20 f'n rounds. They actually went through the entire skater roster of each team and had to flip around to have players shoot a second time. It was crazy pants.

And of course, the Caps being the Caps, would lose the longest shootout in NHL history because that's the kind of thing the Caps do. The old record? A 15 round shootout won by the Rangers against... waitforit.... the Caps.

Ugh.

Speaking of which I noticed that CP31 is the leader in shootout saves
