I'm officially on the Fire Todd Richards bandwagon. What a terrible start to the season. Don't give a frick about the amount of injuries the CBJ have had. Unacceptable start to the season.

When you have Curtis McElhinney between the pipes for 8 games, and Forsburg in there for two, you can't fire a coach over that.
I understand your frustration because this season is just about lost, but there have been severe extenuating circumstances.
On a positive note, our Power Play is 4th in the league.
We are just giving up way too many goals.

The goalies haven't helped but the defense has been abused the entire season.

Stars Win Again!

It's tough, the Penguins were #1 in man games lost last year and the Red Wings were 2nd and both made the playoffs. Penguins still had their stars sure, but Wings not so much.
CBJ still shouldn't be this bad and it very well could cost Richards his job, but I'd guess probably not. A lot depends on what the team does when they get healthy, finish the season strong eliminated or not.

Rumors starting that Anisimov is being traded to Edmonton for Perron. frick, I love Arty.

That seems really weird, why would last place teams in their conference trade with each other? And both players are having terrible years too.

Guessing Edmonton wants Center help and I know the Jackets definitely want Winger help with Horton's back issue.
From a CBJ perspective, this won't be a short term move. I believe Jarmo and JD brought Perron into STL. They already have plenty of C depth with Johansen, Dubinsky, Letestu, and even Jenner. Not to mention Wennberg.

Darren Dreger: Eastern teams are saying that Oilers GM Craig MacTavish is very eager to trade for a center. Source saying that “no one is off limits.”

McKenzie: Taylor Hall is probably the only player the Oilers don’t want to talk to teams about.
I know the Pens have been linked to Yakupov and Eberle. I'd give my left nut to have Taylor Hall with Sidney Crosby, wonder if that could sway a deal?

Shouldn't you guys be looking for a playoff goalie or a defenceman?

Why would a team 6th in the NHL in GAA/GP and 5th in Save % from their G want either of those? And first in points % by a landslide. We're not the Rangers...

@WillGravesAP: Blake Comeau had 16 goals in 177 games between 2011-14. He now has 8 in 20 games with the Penguins.
You know what's amazing? You can put Blake fricking Comeau on Crosby's wing and he'll score 30 goals.
OT winner for the hat trick and it's Blake frickin Comeau.
quote:
@EvgeniMaIkinEgo: The Penguins swapped Tanner Glass and Joe Vitale for Blake Comeau & Steve Downie and saved $1M
Mind = Blown
Well that's worked out as best as possible I'd say.

@SportsCenter: 800! Sidney Crosby tallies 2 assists as Pens beat Maple Leafs in OT, 4-3. Crosby has 800 points in 571 career games.

Stars score 3 goals in less than 5 minutes after going down 3-0 in the 2nd. Tied heading to the final frame with the Wild

Nobody will care about the penguins until they can make it to the finals again. Know who the weak link is? We both do
As far as the stars go.....

Everybody cares about the Penguins, whether they like to admit it or not out of hate or loathe. They have the face of the league in Crosby, among another superstar in Geno and have had a lot of success the last 5-6 years.
The Penguins every season have one of if not the top road attendance percentage because people want to see the Penguins when they're in town. #2 last year and #1 right now this year.
Lundqvist win a cup yet? No? Ah. Poor guy.

He's still the weak link and you know it.
Speaking of weak - Lucic thinks prout is gutless? What??? Prout drops Lucic
Lucic clearly punches prout from behind and then squares his body as if to fight. If you don't want to fight you don't square your body like that. That is not a sucker punch. Lucic is fricking gutless. Has zero chest. He will die by the same sword he lives by.
You don't jaw off like you're going to fight and then say to the media the other guy is gutless because you were telling him you don't want to fight.
What the frick was he saying to Prout? Sorry man - didn't mean to punch you in the back of the head like that?
ETA this thread hit page 10 with talk of St. Louis signing marty brodeur??
