This is why were unstoppable in 2009. We had balance. Sure Payton talks about balance, but we see no attempt at it.

Id like to see a reporter point out the rushing stats of this team (2nd avg/1st TD), then ask him about throwing it 45 times/game.

well we know the offense has not been superb, but the defense is just god awful. If the defense came around I know the offense would gather momentum, feed off that and look more consistent. We're just used to seeing an oiled machine, without good starting field position and a defense that always has you playing from behind, it's tough to have that chemistry

Yeah, but really, do we expect to see this team make any noise in the playoffs? I don't think that realistic, with the scheme, missing pieces, and injuries...

Yes. As long as you have Brees on the offense, you have a legitimate shot.

Think about the NYG's of previous years that peaked at the right time. Week 5, they had 0 shot, but they clamped down.

I'm sure the opposing defense is as shocked as anyone when we actually do run the ball.
