Immediate Impact with Lealaimatafao ?

The DT position lacks size and athleticism, so contribution in either of these characteristics could change the dynamic of the trenches a lot.
Lealaimatafao seems to have a lot of that athleticism and flexibility (And at 300, decent size also) that we have been missing.
How many minutes does he get in the FL, OM and Bama games?
How much difference does he make?

Minutes? Not many.
Difference? Not much.
Difference? Not much.

No definable difference.

Coming off an injury? Probably not much.
This will inevitably lead to him being labeled a bust.
Which will inevitably lead to the sentiment the staff is poor at talent evaluation.
Which will inevitably lead to poor player development.
Which will inevitably lead to we suck, fire everyone.

Well, not having seen him actually play a down of CFB, I imagine it would be hard to determine his actual contribution to the defense at this point in time...
But, I am sure it can't be any worse than we are already playing at that position...

I don't think he'll play much if any.

Probably not much at all. Y'all need to stop looking to these true freshman as the players who will turn everything around. I believe they will provide a bright future for us but that future isn't this weekend. It isn't going to happen. They need to mature mentally and settle into the rhythm of SEC play. Expecting them to go from high school to college and play lights out is ridiculous. I'm not saying it can't happen but the odds are most definitely against it.

He won't play any meaningful reps but has a bright future. This season is as redshirt as it could be.....

Les has been raving about this kid. Should mean alot of snaps.

I think Miles should have asked JJ to loan him Elbert Robinson for an extra DT - or DE, now that he is down to 280

He had worked his way into the starting rotation prior to the injury per 247 report. Looking at his HS stats forced fumbles/recoveries, and sacks, things we lack, jump out: 53 tackles with seven sacks, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and one pass breakup as a senior ... Selected as a U.S. Army All-American and competed in the all-star game ... Netted 39 tackles with 17 tackles for loss, 8 sacks, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery his junior year ... Last name pronounced Lay-ah-lah-ee-mahta-fow

Kinda like Frank Herron and all the snaps he got after Les raved about him in fall camp.

I think he'll make a difference. How big will depend on how many snaps.

If he hasn't been practicing not a lot. At least in Fla. game.
