My conclusion remains unchanged. This type of a blowout is unacceptable for LSU given the investments in the program and the coaching staff. I expected to lose but not get treaded on like a homecoming rent a win cupcake from the sun belt. No excuses for this team and performance. None!

it's just depressing given we have so many different aspects of play we need to improve on, and the remaining schedule is a gauntlet

then you kind of get excited about the players-only meeting, only to be reminded that those usually entail a catastrophe for the remainder of the season.

the hits just keep coming

I Agree.... LSU has paid the money to have an elite program. We just have the wrong coach ...

Stupid. When we the fans support the team and help contribute to the program.. In any contributing way, I believe "we" as fans can use the word we., especially in a fan talking forum setting.. Fandom is apart out our lives, without fans not sure how far sports programs would go..

Really? IT A FRESHMAN TEAM!!!! by god man! do you not see what other teams have right now? Auburn has a lot of older players and didn't lose very much to the NFL, Miss St and ole Miss didn't lose anyone to the NFL. All these teams are now getting their time to shine! Miss St. and Ole Miss have been waiting 3 years just for this year to come and didnt lose any players to the NFL!!! Get Over it and look toward the future! Next year those teams wont be shite cause all their players will be gone!! LSU will be loaded and its gonna be fun to watch! Sit back relax and get over loses quickly, Its gonna be a ride that's not gonna be fun but just wait till next year

RANT OVER

Here are losses by more than 10 points since 2000:

2000: @Florida 7-41, @Auburn 17-34, @Arkansas 3-14
2001: Florida 15-44, Ole Miss 24-35
2002: Alabama 0-31, @Auburn 7-31, @Virginia Tech 8-26, -Texas 20-35
2003: Florida 7-19
2004: @Georgia 16-45

2005: -Georgia 14-34
2006: @Florida 10-23
2007: N/A
2008: @Florida 21-51, Georgia 38-52, Ole Miss 13-31
2009: N/A
2010: N/A
2011: -Alabama 0-21 (beat Alabama 9-6 in Tuscaloosa 4 games prior)
2012: N/A
2013: @Alabama 17-38
2014: @Auburn 7-41

I'm not at all disagreeing that losses like these are terrible to sit through, but at what point in LSU football history did losses like these become "unacceptable"?

The frequency of these types of two score losses have decreased dramatically in recent years.

And while this may not be the last of this type given the struggles on both sides of the ball, it's clear from our history that a year with multiple such losses are not necessarily an indication of a collapse, as we have not had consecutive seasons with such losses since 2000-2002, and followed up the worst such
season (2002) with a National Championship season.

This team is bad. But it is also young, with talented players learning the college game, and coaches working to put those players in position to succeed, as they have been doing for years.

Lets hunker down and weather this storm as a fanbase. The players and coaches deserve our support through a tough time.

If things don't improve significantly next season, it will be open season to call for changes.

Remember. It was only by a small miracle that the WI and MSU games did not end as lopsided blowouts to go with the AU blowout.

Having the most money DOES NOT and HAS NEVER guaranteed a good football team. How boring would sports be if whoever had the most money always won. You guys who think we're entitled to win all the time make me sick.

Dear siliconvalleytiger:

Thank you for your thoughtful "conclusion" of what is and what is not "unacceptable". We will give it the consideration that it is due and file it in the proper receptacle. As we can recognize your ardent desire to improve all things LSU, we invite you to find constructive ways to do so. Late Saturday nights and Sunday mornings in the tailgating areas after home games would be a great chance for you to really make a difference. Please dress comfortably (and you may want to wear some of your older clothing).

Thanks,

Thanks for your opinion. Everyone was really concerned, now we should be able to sleep much easier knowing this.

FRESHMAN TEAM

No not really.... I'm glad you are able to make up shite in your head to make you feel better and all, but that's just not accurate... We have some veteran groupings that are worst in the league, but keep telling yourself whatever makes you feel better

THIS TEAM ISNT YOUNG. Other teams so just fine with a young QB, we don't have a coach that can pull that off
