Cop on the right looks like he's in an Enzyte commercial

I would've done the same thing and I'm not a cop
Would a cop jump off of the causeway to save someone who drove off, or would they wait for the winch truck?
Not knocking you, but pulling someone out of a car isn't very heroic. Pulling someone out of a burning car knowing that you will be burned is

This guy was on a gas line that was ruptured. One spark and it would have been a huge explosion. They had to evacuate several blocks because so much gas was spraying into the hair.

Yeah... But it wasn't on fire so no big deal...
Great work by those men!

The person who got pulled out certainly feels very grateful. He knew that the gas fumes or a spark would have killed him. He is one of my daughters friends.

In your opinion what actions could they have taken without getting a medal? Sat back and called reinforcements? It sounds like someone thinks by doing their job they did something extraordinary. It's a dangerous job. I get it. How is what they did beyond the call of duty?

Don't be an arse. If we are going to hammer The Man on the OT every time he fricks up then just give him a pat on the back when he does right. It's like being nice to the dog when he DOESN'T shite on the carpet.
Realistically, would you have faulted these guys for setting up a perimeter and waiting on the fire department to shut off gas and go in wearing bunker suits? No.
