What's the best Barbecue you ever had in a restaurant?

Best I ever had was a Hog Heaven in Laurel, MS. Yes, it's in a gas station but you gotta believe me it's some of the best around. Damn I'm hungry.

I hardly ever eat restaurant bar bq. I ate rendezvous in Memphis when I was there for an ole miss fraternity thing. I don't remember being blown away, but I also don't remember much from that night.

A lot of people are thrown by the dry ribs, but I liked them.

As for the OP - not sure. There was some place in Austin but I can't remember the name.

Not in a restaurant but I have been fortunate to be a judge for a BBQ competition 4 years in a row now.

I make sure to take a vacation day well in advance every year. It is pretty awesome.

Oklahoma Joe's in Kansas City.

Nothing else has come close.
A distant second would be Tyler's in Amarillo and Black's in Texas (forgot which city? Longview?)

and on top of the ribs, brisket and pork..

This is the best sandwich ever.

The Shed in MS. Loaded BBQ fries and a pulled pork Sammich.

Well. I think it was good I I hailed it so fast now that I think about it. I may have to go back for more research.

Stanley's in Tyler, Texas. I'd put it up against the best of the Hill Country. It's legit.

the original Sunny Bryan's here in Dallas is some damn good BRBQ and super O Rings...

BRBQ is hard.. because I like a couple of different styles TX (Eastern), Carolinas (Eastern), Kansas City and Memphis. I specified areas in TX and Carolinas because the BRBQ changes from area to area.

it really does not matter...when it is GOOD, it is GOOD

We ordered $100 worth of food(work paid) and damn I still dream
Of the bbq. It's some good shite

Also stumbled onto Stanley's last year.

Neon surrounding the building... check.
Lots of cars in the parking lot... check.
Live music... check.
And good food... check check check.

Not finding anything like that here in Atlanta
