Woody Price, the former head of New Orleans' acclaimed Isidore Newman School, has resigned from a prestigious California prep school after a scandalous arrest in which authorities said he was caught in a drug-filled hotel room with an unconscious woman less than half his age, the Marin Independent Journal reported.
The report, available here, said Price was arrested Friday (Oct. 4) at the Hyatt Place hotel in Rancho Cordova, about 15 miles east of Sacramento. Authorities said Price, who turned 54 the day before his arrest, was found inside a room with large quantities of suspected heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine. Also inside his room, deputies said, was a 21-year-old woman identified as Brittney Hall of Elk Grove, Calif., who had to be roused awake for her own arrest.
