I'm not suggesting we fire Miles.

But can we all just agree on the fact that when it comes to clock management, Miles has no idea what time it is? (ISWYDT)

I mean, he failed that subject.

Les Miles + Timeouts + game clock = WTF?

I liked when he told us those problems have been cleaned up. Fixed.

No, they haven't. They haven't been fixed or cleaned up. He didn't take a clock managemnet class from Saban and become smarter. He skipped that class.

We're at the point where you just can't deny you have stripes. We've seen em, over and over and over and over. We get it.

When it comes to timeouts and crunchtime, Miles doesn't even know the subject of the issue. The subject alone elicits complete confusion from the man.

It's amazing that a coach can become the head coach of a program like LSU and be so deficient in that particular category.

There's no progress in the subject, there's no learning what-so-ever.

He doesn't even lie to us anymore and tell us that they've worked on the issue and it's gone away.

I know he's won lots of games and many of them were right after Saban left and since then there has been some success but there's also been a steady decline to where we are today: losing to Miss St AT home and losing 41-7 to Auburn.

So can the Pumpers agree that Miles and Clock Management are like burnt roux? It's something that is just offensive, its what you would expect from someone who doesn't have a clue what they are doing, an amateur. You'd point and laugh at the person resonsible for something like that.

Can we agree on that or not?

I'm a licensed & bonded pumper and even I think Miles needs to have a clock management coach on the sidelines within arms reach with authority to call timeouts/substitutions/etc...

Miles needs a TV show called Clock Management. It would be more ironic than Charlie Sheen's having a show called Anger Management.

Second verse same as the first. When clock issues first raised their ugly heads and everybody but CLM realized he was clock-challenged, the obvious solution was "find a clock coach" to watch over the time outs. Guess how many years ago that was. Nothing done.

i don't think it is something you can learn. you either understand when you should stop the clock or you don't.

I agree with you, but Nicky is pretty terrible at clock management too

Here is a question I'm not sure if asked:

If the chains were indeed moving after a 1st down... Why was the clock ticking?

I don't disagree with taking a shot with 10 seconds left and a timeout in theory, but you have a rattled freshmen in his first start trying to execute and it just backfired. Haven't watched the replay, but did seem like it started rather quickly.

Just want to make sure.. There hasn't been a rule change that the clock can start after a first down without the chains being set is there?

Maybe that is what Miles was trying to say all this time? He didn't call a time out because the clock shouldn't have been running yet

We should have spiked it and evaluated from there.

Was this ever in question?

There is no rule change that I know of.

I think a lot of people believe that he was thinking that he was not allowed to call a time out while the chains were moving, is what he was saying. At least that is what I gather from some of the comments made about it.

Still though. You don't just let the clock run out because they screwed up by starting the clock early.

Wow, people actually thought that?

That was the play Harris hurt his ankle on too
