g/f and I are going to house of shock friday night. Looking for something casual and relatively close to there. I guess near airline would be my best bet? Any suggestions?

House of Shock is in old Jefferson...so the closest bets are in Elmwood area. Theo's pizza, Five Guys, Shimmy Shack...or try the Rivershack on Riv Road at Shrewesbury.

If you want a burger and a beer it is. He did say casual. No, it's not upscale, but I didn't figure a date to the House of Shock wanted upscale.

Rivershack has a chef who runs the lunch everyday. At night it's more of a bar and the food can be rather disappointing. I would not recommend it for dinner and I'm a big RS fan.

Try Frost Top

Pump the breaks there just for a minute. I'm a huge Oak Oven fan boy but Kim Ahn's is still in Harahan right ?

Thanks, fellas. After doing some research, either Seithers or Cowbell is where we'll go.

William's Seafood has always been solid for me. New Orleans Hamburger & Seafood Co. gets shite on here, but I've always enjoyed it for cheap, fast, good food.
