I recently bought a boat with a Lowrance HDS7 gen1. The previous owner did a hard reset before he sold me the boat, and I haven't been able to get the sonar to work since. I have spoken with support several times and have done the following: made sure my transducer was under installation(hst/wbsl), turned network off, put in shallow water fishing mode, unplugged transducer for awhile and did a soft reset, gone under data sources and selected HDS7( it says this device invalid), Made sure lates update was installed

Recently, they told me I had a bad transducer so I bought a brand new one and it does the same thing! I'm about to pull my hair out. I also have structure scan, but it appears to be working just fine. Here are some pics any help would be greatly appreciated

It doesn't have an auto mode instead of shallow water mode?

The screen actually looks like you have air between the hull and water.
That's exactly what that screen (pictured) looks like.
Move your transducer to your trolling motor and that will give you your answer.
Very easy to do just tie wrap to the bottom of the foot of your trolling motor
Put sonar on auto mode!!
