Paul Blackthorne posted this on facebook a week or so ago. It's the door of his trailer.

Is that just going to be a crossover thing, or is that going to be a permanent thing? If permanent, why go that route?

Probably just crossover. Inter-police business and such.

so season 2 plans have been talked about. they are toying with bringing on another speedster in either wally or bart. could be very interesting.

Executive producer Greg Berlanti said they hoped to bring other speedsters such as Wally West (Kid Flash and ultimately the third Flash in the comics) or Bart Allen (the second Kid Flash) into the fold for season two.

little morning bump for the news. figured most would be interested in speculating which speedster they bring for season 2 and which version of the character they bring in. guessing if they go the wally route it would be the new 52 version of him ( )

It'll be Wally. As bad as it sucks to have lost the real Wally in the New 52, what they did with Bart was worse....
quote:
His real name is explained to be Bar Torr, having been sent to the 21st century as part of a witness protection program ahead of his trial for terrible crimes.[48] A feared reactionary from a dystopian alien world Altros Prime in the far future, Bar Torr was the son of a religious couple who were murdered by the Purifiers, agents of the oppressive regime of the Functionary. An orphan, Bar managed to put his sister Shira into the care of a nunnery after many brutal years spent protecting her. Too young to kill any Purifiers himself, he joined their ranks instead. Following a space ship crash while smuggling contraband for the Purifiers, Torr discovered that by unknown means he had acquired healing abilities and incredible super speed, which he later used to get bloody revenge on the Purifiers, sending a message of hope to the oppressed people of his homeworld. He later assembled an army of reactionaries and began a full-scale rebellion against the Functionary which lasted many years, until members of his rebellion seriously injured an older Shira, who grew up on the side of the Functionary. This prompted Bar to turn himself in. Seeking penance, he promised the Functionary he would take down his own rebellion from the inside. While the prosecution assembled its case against Bar, he was sent back to the 21st century with a new personality and new memories, as Bart Allen, and only a lingering feeling that he was pursuing redemption.[49] In the present day, in the wake of an attack on the team by Johnny Quick of the Crime Syndicate, the prosecution retrieves Bart and brings him and the team to the future once again, where he awaits trial, and his friends learn of his past atrocities.[48]
Yeah that's so much better than him being Barry Allen's grandson from the 30th century....

I really dont understand why they completely leveled most of the Flash characters in the reboot. hopefully some of that gets fixed.
I could see it being wally as well due to the Iris connection. but since the show runners to have tendencies to borrow from multiple stories and characters, they could make their version of wally closer to the one everyone knows and likes.

Because Barry Allen.. Didio just had to bring him back for no good reason. The Flash "universe" had flourished in the years after Barry Allens death. DC was already full of great legacy characters and Flash had the best one's.
Must..stop..ranting about New 52 eradicating so many rich characters...Jade..Jesse Quick...Bart..4 Robins in 5 years..makes no Goddamn sense...

You're not wrong. I'll hold out hope. I don't even care if he's black Wally. Just make him like the Wally we knew. I guess we'll have to see. As always, most of it rides on the chemistry between Gustin and whomever they cast for Wally.

I just can't see this version of Barry having a Kid Flash sidekick in my mind since the actor looks so young. It seems to me that they need to find someone who looks younger than Barry, and that may be hard to do. But I'm sure they will find someone that fits the bill. Or they'll make him closer to Barry's age than he is in the comics.
I'm guessing they'll go with Wally, and his appearance will be more towards the New 52 version (since they'll probably make him Iris' cousin or something (since apparently this version of Iris doesn't have a brother that we've seen...yet)). Hopefully they'll let him have the old Wally's personality though, or at least close to it.

I'm surprised they showed Eddie shooting those two cops in the preview clip. I figured they'd want to keep him going bad under wraps. It seems to confirm they are going to go down the Thawne storyline.
Of course, I guess they could've edited that to make it look like he was shooting some regular cop, and they could actually be bad cops or something.

i definitely think theres a twist there or they wouldnt be so explicit in a trailer. i was thinking possibly mind control or some sort of manipulation. possibly Grodd getting into peoples heads since we know he will be popping up again soon

Well, that episode was kind of huge.

Well, that was pretty cool. Wells is Eobard Thawne, and killed Cisco. And Barry ran so fast he went back in time, so he still doesn't know who Wells is yet. I really enjoyed the episode.

With the jump in time, Cisco could still live.
Also, in the Arrow thread there was talk of Det. Lance being on the Flash in the future. I'm guessing he'll be the new police chief if the guy on a Flash in fact remains paralyzed, but who knows with the time travel.

Could have been a season finale the level of shite that went down.

Finally we can put the "Wells is future Barry" theory to rest.
