Yeah, but that may have been a bit too corny for tv.

I'm really enjoying this series so far. It's shaping up wonderfully and the special effects once again are top notch.
I wish they could've shown more of the makeshift prion at the end of the episode. It looked like the walkway they were only lead to the cell they were looking at with mist in there instead of the huge tunnel and we could've seen the cell retracting back into the wall.
I wonder how long they're going to keep these prisoners and how they're going to feed and clothe them without them escaping.
Really dug felicity in the preview. She was smoking hot. Who's the actor playing her?

Emily Bett Rickards. A nobody, she was cast for a 2 minute scene in one episode, but her chemistry with Amell was so strong they wrote her into the series fulltime.

My thoughts as well.
He did it a lot in the JLU series and I remember him doing it in the pilot when the Martians attack.

Jumping into this thread without reading, but does anyone else think this show isn't that good?
I could list a lot of things I think are bad, but the main thing is that this character is not Barry Allen. This is (white)Wally West. Secondly, the lead is not masculine enough to play Barry and the guy playing Thawne would make a much better Allen.
Allen is very mid-western like Kent, very methodical in his approach and is probably smarter than any character at STAR LABS.Just my two cents

She's been on Arrow for a while now, which is her connection to The Flash.

I might be the last person to notice this, but it dawned on me last week that the actor playing Barry's Dad in prison is the actor who played Flash himself in the 1990 TV version.
I hadn't heard that...just sort of recognized the actor sitting there on the phone in prison. Great call by the producers to do that.
Was this well known?

But with with that said, I do agree that this is a very different take on Barry Allen (from a personality standpoint at least). I'm not even sure if his personality is even close to Wally.
But I like the new take. It gives the character a fresh and new feeling that I personally find interesting. Plus the show definitely has a huge DC comics feel to it.

On that Blue Devil / Rita Farr double feature... both of those characters were in the movie business prior to becoming superheroes.

there is a difference between a new take and "in name only" take. I don't think the character is bad, but that's certainly not Barry's "voice".
