Fortt will still be around
No one will sign him while injured and without really seeing any game footage of him
He will be back on Saints roster with shot to make team next year
With the injuries you have to do something for your roster now and Fortt does nothing for you now

He was not cut because of an injury or what the team thought about him on the field. CSP is done with him. This was off the field issues.

We can still sign him to the active roster if we want to.

I know this, but I feel like if they were going to do so, they would have done it already, especially before he signed to their PS.

It is becoming a trend because SP and ML continue to draft these "projects" that only possess raw athletic skills and no fricking football IQ.

Woods, Vaughn, Arneaux, Fortt, Baptiste(a little early to determine, but early returns aren't good), Charles Brown, Toon, Ellis, Johnny Patrick, Martez Wilson, Usama Young, Demario Pressley, Rufus Johnson, Corey White, Andrew Tiller, Marcel Jones,..............What a list

That is a depressing list of names, but you can make a similar, if not longer, list for every other team in the league over the last 8 years.

Yea, mid and late round picks are a crap shoot. You just don't expect to see us burn a 2nd rounder on a 'project.' This isn't the fricking NBA

Is it better anywhere else?

You also forgot Jammal Brown, Jahri Evans, Zach Strief, Colston, Bushrod, Marvin Mitchell, Pierre Thomas, Porter, Carl Nicks, Thomas Morstead, Jimmy Graham, Cam Jordan, Hicks, Armstead, Jenkins, Stills, Robinson

Corey White,

5th round pick. I'd say he's played like a 5th round pick

quote:

Toon,

4th round pick

quote:

Andrew Tiller,

6th round pick

quote:

Marcel Jones,

7th round pick

quote:

Demario Pressley

5th round pick

quote:

Rufus Johnson,

6th round pick

I know we're spoiled with the gems that Payton has drafted late, but it is stupid to turn around and bash him when he has some misses.

Marcel Jones will be on the Ravens for a while. He's a good player.

Based on what? He's on his 3rd year in the league and has yet to crack a 53. I'd hardly call that a "good player." He couldn't even make a team that is severely lacking in G/T depth.

Remember when Johnny Patrick got cut?

Sometimes the player himself plus his off-field issues are just enough to get cut.

?? What??
Did you not see my post, He got cut because he was out till the sunrise during gameday and didn't show up. Nothing to do with talent. Of course another team was going to grab him.

You make it sound like we haven't made any questionable personnel decisions lately.
