They've cut 2 so far, sadly

Lions are 4 of 12 kicking Fgs this year

This includes 1 of 9 on kicks over 40 yards

wasn't he one of the best/if not the best kicker last year?

He was on the drug program for alcohol and drugs.

Testers actually showed up AT HIS HOUSE during vacation and tested him. He had just drank a beer, tested positive for alcohol.

Suspended 4 games. Denver's new kicker has done fine and is way cheaper so, cut him.

This makes no sense.

People all the time talk about plenty of good quality kickers on the free market.

Crazy.

K has a steep learning curve to learn the playbook midseason. best to wait until Feb to make the move to give the new guy time

Completely agree. When we call a field goal you never know if he should make it or miss it strategically. You have to learn Payton's playbook. Graham this year has played perfectly. He only misses when it's part of the plan. I'd hate Prater to make all the kicks and mess up our mojo.

I remember a lot of people on here who were bitching that we didn't jump all over Alex Henery when we had the chance.

exactly. the nuances of the special teams playbook can only be understood and handled with a full off season and training camp. What if Prater came in here and had to kick from the right hash and all he has studied to that point was kicking from the left hash? We would be so fricked.

This is why we need to stick with the Soulless One until Feb.

To my knowledge the Saints aren't looking for a kicker. But who knows?

Meh. He made a clutch kick but Prater would probably lock down the spot for the next 6-8 years.
