One reason our qb's are not ready and Kevin Sumlin seems to always hvae his ready is that he makes them practice all of fall camp live. The offense goes against the number 1 defense, and the qb is live. This simulates game speed and makes them make decisions alot quicker. having no contact jersdey allows qb's to cheat in practice and it hurts them in games. Therefore they only get game speed during games.

I think it has to do with their offense. The offense that requires you to throw in spread sets out of the shotgun 40 times a game. There are like 1000 high schools in Texas that run that style offense. The funny thing is, the power running football teams wipe the floor with them.

kenny hill, didn't look good vs MSU, and was pretty average vs Arkansas. i'm not defending miles, but it's not like hill dominated, against a common opponent.

You do realize that you can run the ball from the shotgun formation and still crush the other teams' will right?

Go look and see how many rushing yards AU had and can you believe they didn't have to run the ball from the I formation?

Also wth has A&M won with this offense. Nothing but a few games. Running the football is key to championships controlling the clock.

Winning in the trenches is the most important thing in football. We need to get back to winning in the trenches and then we will get back to winning championships and A&M with their offense will win games.

Well you take a kid who ran the spread in high school and has never played under center sans pee wee football and put him under center on the road against the #5 team in the nation and expect good things to happen isn't in touch with reality. I don't think Marshall went under center but one time in the game and that was for the victory formation.
There is a big difference in imposing your will on the other team and imposing your will on your on team. I have never been a Miles basher until now. It's not that we are 0-2 in the SEC it's that we have been totally dominated in the 2 games. It's really an embarrasement.

Yet, they still rushed for 300 yards.
