Is it possible that rule change on defense is hurting our line?

Serious question. Last year our defensive line was balling and you could insert anyone to get pressure but Jordan/Gallete were dominant. I don't even know where Cameron was today in the game and Gallete made plays in clutch moments. That said, our pressure is awful. Even when we blitz we can't get pressure. It makes me wonder if that hands to the face rule was something the Saints used greatly to their advantage last year? I mean even Hicks was becoming dominant last year in the second half and he has been mediocre too. How can a defensive line take such a big step back with so many young guys?

Unlikely. Even if that were the case, I'd like to see the D-line use a Seattle approach. They ain't gonna call it every play

Yeah, I'm just trying to find a reason why they suck so bad. Played the run well today overall and did get some clutch pressure at least.
