Can't wait for the Chalky/Nucky scenes. Looks to be a good one.

It's all good. I haven't watched the episode yet, getting ready to. I procrastinated the hell out of some psych and spanish work this week and had to cram it in tonight. On the upside I'm off work tomorrow.

Yep. Awkward scene in the Van Alden household.

when did sheriff have sex with van alden's wife? Was that shown in a previous season because I don't remember seeing it?

"History doesn't repeat itself, but it rhythms. What the frick does that even mean?"
Capone's character is hilarious.

Was a bit mixed up with the ending. Chalky went into that place with the intent to kill someone, but he didn't know where Narcisse was (and Nucky wouldn't tell him). So was that Narcisse's place? And that was Chalky's daughter that he saw, right?

She was a singer owned by Narcisse last season. After being on the run with Chalky she split. I have a feeling this is his child (will replace his daughter who died at the end of season 4). Dude could use some good news. I guess Narcisse has them under his watch and Chalky is gonna have to kill the Doctor to get them back.

I thought Torio was acting strange during he and Nucky's meeting... really didn't see him turning on Nucky though. Can't wait to see how it plays out.
ETA: and LOL at 20 something year old Nucky's teeth. They could have made them a little less ridiculous.

The dinner at the 'Muellers' was fantastic. Everything from the little girl telling June that her real mom is dead to Mrs Mueller telling Eli to come fix the roof when her husband wasn't home. I watched this by myself and laugh out loud the whole time.
I think this might be one of my favorite lines from the series...

Great episode. You know it's good when it ends and you say "That's it? That went fast."
Right when I saw the picture on the wall, that Eli saw, I knew something was up. Wow, Mrs. Van Alden has been a B to Nelson but didn't know it was going that far. My question is, what's the point? What does this little dynamic add to the story? One of two things is going to happen, Nelson and Eli are going to be successful or they are going to get dead. Personally, I'd be packing my stuff and fleeing to Alaska.
So Nuck lived, did Maranzano? For Torrio being out of the game he sure is right in the middle of it. When he first sat down with Nucky this episode he did warn him, in a way, told him he should just retire.
Gillian, waste of time, obvious from that scene the doc is never going to let her out and she will more than likely end up becoming an object for his experiments.
Any show that starts off with showing Al Capone grunting on the toilet is going to be good, can't wait to see how they wrap things up.

The undercover fed has got some stones.
I bet Capone was just as volatile as the show depicts.

first off, great episode and terrific season so far- god id love to see this go 10 episodes.
I love the flashbacks, even wouldn't mind seeing a prequel with a teenage/20s Nucky
quick question- what does Torio have against Nucky and why does he want him out?
didn't the guy Nucky was talking to at the restaurant know the shooting was coming? he looked outside right when they pulled up. that's odd if he did because why would you risk all those flying bullets??

quote:They were faithful to history with how Joe The Boss' assisnation went down so I would think they'd do the same for Maranzano. Since I'm still not clear on this board's rules on historical facts related to real characters in the show, I'll just say that I doubt they'd kill Maranzano in this fashion since it doesn't line up with how he actually died.
So Nuck lived, did Maranzano?
