He was talking as if we had won the game last night. Was saying how Lacouture was the rock in the middle and that Danielle Hunter had his "coming out" game. How in the world do you have a coming out game while getting totally crushed 41-7? He had no anger in his tone. No urgency. Kept calling the D-Line "Young Guys" and "Young Pups" still learning and growing. Having this attitude is very discouraging. It really means this team is in major trouble. I would have loved to hear him say " we are going to attack our problems, make changes, fix what is broken" he said absolutely nothing like that. Just said the same old stuff, "we have to get better" This should be a major red flag to all of us. WTF??

Would you have preferred he express his concern about how terrible these young athletes are?

Hunter did play well overall and was the only one that really wanted to do anything. Haley will not be here next year anyway so I don't think he gives a single frick.

The coaches will never come out and publicly bash the players. It's never been their MO and starts at the top with Les. Could be wrong, but I have to believe its a different story behind closed doors.

He needs to be canned. For a former NFL DLine coach he sucks arse. His players have no pass rush moves mostly which is why they don't get to the QB often. And he teaches them to just hold up the OLineman to let the linebackers make plays when they are not. Utter bullshite!

Uh Yes. I wish he would have some balls and say our D-Line is getting beat in every aspect and he has to do something fast to correct this.

Sounds like reality and honesty to me. Instead of candy coating, acting panicked or being PCI and saying what everyone wants to hear. He's with them everyday and knows. For hunter to have 13 tackles is sick, and needed to be praised!

I don't understand your concern BASED ON WHAT HE SAID. I think you are reading between the lines what you want to and are overreacting.

have you ever heard of "coachspeak"?

so he's praising some players that have been busting their arse to get better. I think we played the middle run much better last night and our DL has improved. I think some of our back ups made some mistakes and cost us some yardage. we actually got pressure on the qb a coupla times (which sadly is an improvement).

this loss, imo, is not on the DL, esp the interior linemen.

I don't know whether Brick will be here next year or not...But I can say there isn't a more fiery/animated coach on the staff during the game than Brick...he is a very in your face coach...ask any of us who sit behind the defense in Tiger Stadium, you can hear him 5 rows up..
We are young, and not deep enough on the DLine to have a decent rotation...that has been our way of freeing up our back 7 to play more aggressively... we just don't have that this year...

Rantards love demonstrative coaches. Orgeron would be loved by Rantards.

The D line may be young but is not improving, exception Hunter, very much. They are getting manhandled.
