A season like this was sorely needed

I am glad that it is going off the rails in a year where player and character development is so critical. Flukes and lucky wins would not have been good for this group of young tigers.

Attended lsu from 98-03, saw the whole spectrum and experienced every possible emotion. The difference between then and now is 100% cultural. The culture surrounding lsu has become overwhelmingly cynical and arrogant. STTDB, slandering coaches, players, ppl from the state who decide to leave, etc. it is all additive, we are working at the detriment of our program and building a culture that is not conducive to satisfaction and high level success.

Respect the game
Respect our opponents and their ability to play it
Respect our program
Put your arse in the seats and will this shite to happen for 4 quarters every game

Losing a close game and giving up consecutive 560 yd games is completely different. The former is okay, the latter is a problem that starts from the top.

So you're glad we're having a bad season because our fans are arrogant? You sound like an idiot

Yeah, LSU fans have gotten fat, happy and spoiled. Too many don't remember the down years. I have been watching for forty years since I was six years old and have seen the gamut of seasons from awful to fantastic. I sat in many half empty Tiger Stadiums when Hallman was coach and I have sat in SRO stadiums when Saban and Miles were coaching. I don't know where the coaching situation ends up going but fans need to to take a step back and regroup.

I was at LSU 1998-2002 and I don't need to relive the Tepper defense.

The same can and should be said about the administration and coaching staff.

I'm ok with having a losing season to shake things up or whatever

But do we have to be THIS bad?

Like not even competitive on any level with our opponents. It's fricking embarrassing.

Deceased parents, worked my way through school. Changed majors as well.

First in my line to graduate from college, sorry if you find my pacing to be unsatisfactory.

Couldn't agree more. This board is representative of the front running mentality.

LSU needs a change in scenery and I think that starts with bringing in a new coach/staff. Tons of people are tired with miles and his stubbornness

Dude it's not front running for most of us here. We all understand that sometimes losses are going to happen. It the way we have lost that has turned us into monsters. If we lose by a touchdown, I am happy.

Actually it wasn't 2 consecutive games we gave up 560 yards. Our fan base booed our starter in the first one 2 weeks ago. Then Harris looked like a pro a week later. Here come the revived tigers to auburn and got shat on. OP is hitting the nail on the head. He had 5 years to experience student section glory!!! But seriously, he is exactly right, culture has got to change. We are (WERE) turning into gump style fans with terrible attitudes. Hopefully this will change the culture back, and maybe weed out some of the most hated portions of our fans base for a few years.

I never like to see a bad season. And this one is pretty painful lately. But I agree that if it results in a shakeout of some of the crappier fans jumping off the bandwagon then there is at least a little consolation.

If that is all you are able to deduce from my post, I wouldn't be quick to label any other person an idiot.

Yes. I see your point. We're giving up 550 per game and doing dick on offense because the 100,000 millennials, yuppies, and baby boomers in the stands can't throw, catch, tackle, cover, coach, or convert on 3rd and 2.

Perfect sense.
