After watching that game its pretty clear Miles time here is just about up. Dont even bring up is almighty record because its pretty clear now that miles has won at LSU because of the talent they bring in and NOT his coaching ability. LSU has a year with a team slightly less talented and just lacks experience and we get completely blown out. But im not here to bash miles (although I would love to).
The obvious options for a new coach at LSU would be Harbaugh or Meyer, but what about bamas DC Kirby Smart? If the first two arent realistic, I think it'd be smart to bring in smart as a HC and hire a sharp spread minded guy at OC.

Get a new defensive coach and DL coach. Chavis has rested on his laurels for too long. Haley is going NFL anyway and I would like the Virginia Tech DL coach or Mizzu DL coach if possible next year.

I know that we are all just here ranting and talking amon brothers and sisters of the Tiger nation and certainly Smart is intriguing but could he be another Muschamp. I noticed last night that someone would mention Rich Rod and everybody else would go ballistic and say no. Why is that? What else is known. I know his system didn't work at Michigan but seems pretty successful at WVU and Arizona. Obvious Louisiana aconnections when he was at Tulane. What's the beef with him?

I'd take Rich Rod if he made an honest effort to play defense.

Blake Anderson
Hell, Arkansas State, has launched Freeze, Malzahn, and Harsin.
Anderson did at NC exactly what would need to be done here..convert a plodding mess to a tempo style offense...and he turned it around in a year.
He is young, he can recruit, and he has Arkansas State playing well. They put more yards on ULM than we did
I really would like to give it to a new guy when Les is gone than some old retread, or to discuss a bunch of names that are not even possible.

but his TEAM won a game. That is what a head coach is paid to do win games.
Packed house, goalposts coming down, Gameday....looked like fun, but I bet traffic was a nightmare.

I'll take Rich Rod or Gary Patterson, and if Cam somehow leaves, we need to snatched up that OC too. He coached at Houston last year and they look like a shite show now with the same exact players. Look at Boykin, that was pretty much a WR playing QB until this year.
John O'Korn true freshman 2013
259/446 (58.1%) 3117 yards 28 TDs 10 ints, 104 yards rushing 1 TD
John O'Korn sophomore 2014
89/172 (51.7%) 944 yards 6 TDs 8 ints, 17 yards rushing 1 TD
Trevone Boykin 2013
105/176 (59.7%) 1198 yards 7 TDs 7 ints, 313 yards rushing 7 TDs, 204 yards receiving
Trevone Boykin 2014
99/161 (61.5%) 1176 yards 10 TDs 2 ints, 260 rush yards 3 TDs
When he left a good QB has turned crappy, and at his new place, a crappy QB has turned really good.
