The best player on the team touched the ball 10 times

This frustrates me more than anything from last night. Fournette was picking up sizable chunks of yards but Les refuses to let him loose.

Offensive playcalling has been an ongoing issue with this team. It predates Cam. The only constant is Les. It's on him.

and when he did touch it, he was put in predictable positions that resulted in less than optimal performance for his skill set.

These types of posts are exactly why people should quit getting angry when fournette is called a disappointment so far. He has done absolutely nothing to warrant being called the best player on the team.

I see people are still having on to the HS hype. LF hasn't been bad, but he also hasn't been special either. He's certainly not even close to Jeremy Hill in his first year of play.
But I do agree that the best players on the field on touched the ball very little. That would be the recieving corps.

CLM compared him to AP. All the recuriting experts called him essentially the second coming of Christ.
The fact that he is not being put into position to have a Gurely'esk year as a freshman (or even anything close to that) lies at the feet of one man.
That, or every recruiting expert - and CLM - was horribly, horribly wrong.
The bigger point is this: it seems CLM is not getting the most out of his players. A recurring theme. To get beat with a team full of freshman is one thing, but to get prison raped two weeks in a row with THIS level of talent, albeit mostly freshman, is another.
The fact that he is not being put into position to have a Gurely'esk year as a freshman (or even anything close to that) lies at the feet of one man.

LF is 46th in the nation in all purpose yards and probably touches the ball a quarter of the time the rest of that list does and he's not our best player? Some of yall just want nothing more than LSU to fail and for LF to fail.

Who uses all purpose yards as the stat to justify a player? Somebody that is completely blinded by high school hype and recruiting stars.

What do you base him being "the best" on? He's not the "best" in my opinion. Not yet, anyway.

Fournette did look good when he touched the ball last night. However, after 9 offensive plays, was already in a 17 point deficit.

Magee was not getting it done. How stupid is it to stop running it on first down? LF was getting 8 yds a carry then the dumb asses tried to run it again on 2nd and short instead of play action or a short pass. I think we have too many RBs touching the ball. LF and DW should be out featured backs KH should be short yardage and Magee should sit the bench.
