Something is Wrong With my Windows7 Start-Up

A week ago I went to turn on my computer. When it started up it said start windows with launch repair or normal mode. I chose normal and it went frozen blue start up screen. I turned it off and tried to use the launch repair and that freezes it as well.
Any thoughts on what could be the problem?

Look online (if you have access to another computer)for a copy of Hirens Boot CD
