I understand that there are people that get off on the endorphin rush that comes with enduring painful experiences... I don't agree with it and think there's better ways to push boundaries than to drive sharp objects into your body, hang your bodyweight from a few such points, etc. But I guess you could find some mind/will strengthening meditative value in it.
These pics seem different than what I described above... and seem rather pointless. It's posturing to show you embrace pain instead of just doing your business in private.
