FWIW - Fran Tarkenton says LSU is now a completely new team with Harris

Fran Tarkenton, the Georgia alum and NFL Hall of Famer, does a weekly segment on the Sports Animal here in Oklahoma City. He just said, and I am paraphrasing, that he doesn't understand why some coaches sit the rookie quarterbacks that can play in favor of veterans who are less talented. He went on to say that it doesn't matter if they kid is 18 years old, if he can play and is the superior talent, he should be in the game. That's football. He specifically mentioned Brandon Harris, and Clemson's Deshaun Watson who came in last week to throw for a school record of 6 TDs and 435 yards against UNC.
Regarding LSU, he said the Tigers are a "completely new team now" that Brandon Harris is starting and to forget what's happened in the first few games. Again, I am paraphrasing. Gauge his credibility on your own. Just posting it for what it's worth.
The [link=( https://www.thesportsanimal.com/)]Sports Animal[/link] does stream live online, but I am unsure if they archive their programs.

He said similar things on the radio here in ATL earlier in the week. When asked about Mason at UGA he referred to him as "just a guy" and mentioned Harris @ LSU unprovoked. Said LSU was making the switch b/c they see Jennings is "just a guy" and Harris has more talent, regardless of time in the program. He said more teams should do that

Fran Tarkenton was the original dual threat qb.

Since he is saying something good about LSU, he is a genius and the GOAT analyst. Now, had he said something bad about LSU, he would be old, washed up, and possibly suffering from dementia.

Maybe if this guy did his research he would know that a few days ago Magee tweeted that Harris could barely call the plays in the huddle at Wisconsin.
Now it is a problem that he didnt get more mop up duty against the cupcakes, but its not absurd that he wasn't starting until now.

People do see things in the manner they want to see them.
Remember that before the season some people were predicting that Harris would take over the starting job before SEC play. Those folks look like geniuses right now. It was also clear at the beginning of the season that Harris was not ready. The coaches made the right calls in this situation and brought Harris in at his pace. He's come along nicely and should have a shot at taking over the first offense because his production on the field has been outstanding in the last two games.
This team is a work in progress. The coaches do appear to know what they are doing.

So, Magee calling out a teammate in all of 3 snaps, which were his first 3 plays in college, equals pure genius?
I'm sick of idiots referencing the Wisconsin game and Harris' "performance" then as indicative of anything.
So let's see those three plays:
1st down - Reverse to Quinn for 2 yards
2nd down - Read option
3rd down - Timeout
3rd down - Pass play ruined because the TE didn't see to care to block his man.
Yup, Harris sure was horrible I tell you.
