Front coming through Friday night/Saturday morning will make for a rough weekend of fishing. Fish will be gorging themselves today and tomorrow and won't be biting much over the weekend. (this exact situation happened too me tuesday before last in Hopedale. front came through monday night and barely no one caught more than 10 fish in our company fishing rodeo)

That's not to say fish can't be found. There's PLENTY of bait in the waters down there. Just going to have to work for it.

If you go, watch out for low to no water. That front is going to blow a lot out.

According to him, Fish were supposed to be jumping right into my Yeti when I went...

I guess my trip went to shite when the fish saw my Igloo Marine instead of a Yeti?

With all the east winds we've had over the last week+, i don't think the front will push it all out. Water has been REALLY high this week.

Fished around Stump Lagoon Saturday. Caught 35 trout (lots of throwbacks),10 drum and 13 reds on live shrimp. Also hearing good reports from Lake Campo this week. This front will mess things up bit hit the usual spots and you should do ok. I'm going to give it a go Sunday morning.

Brought this back up to thank all that responded. I will miss this afternoon's fishing because of business but will be down there tonight.
We are having a 2 boat 8 man tournament tomorrow. All NELa folks.
I look for a good time, yeah!

Not missing anything. The wind is blowing hard and I am sitting in the back of the boat drinking beer watching my buddies cast their arms off.

Just got back from fishing the Shell Beach area. Despite the strong winds, we managed to keep 10 reds, 5 specks, a bass, and a flounder. We had to throw back roughly 60% of what we caught.

We were fishing with live shrimp about a 1 1/2 feet under a versamax cork.

Fished around Lake Borgne. Wind was rough. We had to throw back a lt of small stuff, but kept 22 trout, 8 reds, and a flounder.

Most of the trout and reds caught on 4" purple vudu with chartreuse tail under a cajun thunder. Caught the flounder on a nuclear chicken cockahoe.
