Ran into my best friend this morning, while getting coffee at Amelie. She suggested we go to Stanley for breakfast, since she was meeting a few people for breakfast. One guy was Canadien.

I ordered an iced coffee and Eggs Stanley. Fried oysters and eggs benedict.

I was shocked to learn at the table that Canadians do not refer to Canadian Bacon as such. It's peameal bacon.

It's simply called back bacon in the grocery stores.

There's American cheese on it? Where?

I would hope not for $16 fricking dollars.

I'm speaking on past Stanley threads brah. One of your hate apostles was claiming everything was covered in A cheese.

Damn you, I'm hungry. That's my go to dish there and it's always great. You should try the ice coffee with no cream or sugar, provided they serve it that way, though.

We ate cafe Amelie last time we were in town. It was really good, although the style/theme of the menu is much different than I envisioned (wasn't even the first time I've dined there). I thought it was French inspired. I had a lamb meatloaf sandwich, after apps, and it was seriously good.

I go a good bit. If it's busy, I just walk to Petite.

I don't drink my coffee black, I add a little milk.

The coffee at Stanley came pre-mixed.
