Not going to hunt today. Literally just had a lightning bolt strike within 200 yards of me.

And there's more and more waves of storm cells firing up to our southwest. Supposed to do this all day.

Sucks.

Got one, two actually, I'm just on a sabbatical from my real job for the weak.

About to pass out, long night at work. Going to try and get in the woods when I knock off tomorrow morning. Been seeing a lot of tracks where I'll be in my climber. We'll see how that goes

Didn't see anything this morning. Heard a lot of ruckus behind me probably squirrels. It was hot as balls so I left about 830. Not going back until it cools off some.

Been open almost a week in Arkansas and I haven't made it out yet..... but it's supposed to be 49 degrees Saturday morning and I should be able to hunt all weekend!!!

Now if you will excuse me I'll go shower and get ready for my evening hunt.

Just got home from the woods. It was a wash out after lunch. I had to wring my underwear out. I saw a doe at 10:20. She had slipped up on me through some brush, got to 9 yards and never knew I was there. I watched her for a few minutes but she never would give me a good shot. Either quartering to or covered up in brush so thick I could barely see her. Hoping the rain is gone by tomorrow morning.
