Update on Kendell Jones is LSU is his leader, Texas guys saying he's a big LSU fan and he's pretty much LSUs to lose. Can't link to the article.

LSU also leads for Ed Oliver and Ed Alexander, not sure about Lawrence and Logan.

Wow I would think jones was all texas. If we get Alexander, jones and oliver I would think that it would scare Lawrence and Logan. I do like Lawrence though his motor for a guy his size is unreal.

Alexander and Lawrence are the two I want the most but Oliver and Jones would be mind blowing.

Lawrence and Alexander are my favorite two. I think we're in a good spot with both.

i think we take 4 dts. alexander and Lawrence plus 2 of logan, oliver, jones, Guidry. any chance logan and/or Guidry could play strong side de? similar to Tyson Jackson. I realize that Jackson was under pelini.

This. My thoughts exactly! There's definitely room for all 4, it's wide open right now!

If you say true, then would you suggest that we are going to lose some DTs? Just curious because

2016 DLine

Sione Teuhema 6-3 220 jr
Deondre Clarke 6-3 245 jr
Michael Patterson 6-2 225 jr

Christian LaCouture 6-5 300 sr
Greg Gilmore 6-4 315 jr
Trey Lealaimatafao 6-2 300 so
1st 2016 DT
2nd 2016 DT

Davon Godchaux 6-4 305 jr
Travonte Valentine 6-3 300 jr
Frank Herron 6-5 285 jr
Maquedius Bain 6-3 310 jr
3rd 2016 DT
4th 2016 DT

Tashawn Bower 6-5 250 sr
Lewis Neal 6-1 240 sr
Isaiah Washington 6-4 265 so
Stephen Sullivan 6-6 235 fr.......logjam at TE, he's a DE after he adds weight

That's a lot of DTs.....in fact, too many. Eleven DT's......

Would it be fair that you suggest that two players like Gilmore and Bain move to OG? Just curious what your thinking is on adding 4 DT.

ETA: ---- The real need for defense in 2016 will be Linebacker.

No it's not too many.... If one or two can't make the cut they can always transfer or just wait their turn. We need this many DTs every year to keep good depth at the position.

First, why are you discussing DEs? This is about DTs.

Second, why do you have Lealaimatafao as a SO. He'll be in his third year.

Third, LaCouture is almost certainly gone after next year.

Fourth, there's an excellent chance that nearly all of the remaining DTs will be gone before 2017. And if any of those Year 3 DTs are not gone, then there's a good chance the 2016 DTs will be able to beat them out for 2017.

Christian LaCouture 6-5 300 4
Greg Gilmore 6-4 315 3
Trey Lealaimatafao 6-2 300 3
1st 2016 DT
2nd 2016 DT

Davon Godchaux 6-4 305 3
Travonte Valentine 6-3 300 3
Frank Herron 6-5 285 3
Maquedius Bain 6-3 310 3
3rd 2016 DT
4th 2016 DT

Sad, but true. Even if He hasn't done anything and was told He wasn't getting drafted, He'd still leave after his junior year.

I didn't discuss DE's.....only mentioned them in the depth chart since guys like Lewis Neal have played DT......show me where I discussed anything about DE's, you dumb shite.

He will most likely redshirt after slicing, not tearing his biceps....therefore being equivalent to a freshman next year and a sophomore in 2016.....dumbass. Go look up LSU's website on year classification....John Diarse redshirted and is a freshman this year, yet he signed a year earlier.....does that make Malichi Dupre a senior in hs this year?

You mean how like Clifton Garrett was certainly going to be, at least, second string?....you don't know dick.

I don't care about your opinion anymore.....you're a dumbass.

I think we will but according to Scout LSU is not in the running for any quality DTs for 2015. We will not have depth in 2015 as the redshirt freshmen have yet to produce and I have doubts they will in a big way.

I hear ya, but then I think about some of the late bloomers like Drake Nevis. I bet at least one of those guys will develop into a nice DT.

Nevis
2007: Tackles 17, TFL 2, Sacks 0
2008: Tackles 16, TFL 5.5, Sacks 0
2009: Tackles 50, TFL 11, Sacks 4
2010: Tackles 56, TFL 13, Sacks 6

You didn't "discuss" DEs, you only "mentioned" them? You only "mentioned" the rest of the DEs in a sad attempt to bolster your bullshite about too many DTs in 2016.

You go look at LSU's website. Diarse is listed as a RSFR, not a FR. Why? Because Diarse is in his 2d year. Jennings is listed as a SO. Why? Because Jennings is in his 2d year. Dupre is listed as a FR. Why? Because Dupre is in his 1st year.

So, no, Lealaimatafao will not be listed as merely a SO in 2016. Why? Because Lealaimatafao will be in his 3d year.

You mean how like Clifton Garrett was certainly going to be, at least, second string?....you don't know dick.
I never said Clifton Garrett "was certainly going to be, at least, second string." MLB is the most difficult position to learn on the defense. True freshman (by the way, like Dupre, Garret is a FR) don't leap up the depth chart at MLB. There are lots of reasons to opine that Garrett would not be "at least, second string."

Conversely, LaCouture is playing well this year. There's no reason to think he won't progress the rest of this year and next year. If so, he will have a shitton of value after next year. Thus, he is almost certainly gone after next year.

Wow! I guess you ran out of scintillating and informed opinion. I was really hoping to be enlightened by your high-level analysis, such as:
