Is nearly every artist on there?

Nearly all of them.

No Beatles, no Seger, no AC/DC. There has to be a list of all of the streaming music holdouts somewhere on the internet. I haven't found one yet tho

Yes, if you know what you want to hear (download songs/albums). I use it almost exclusively, but will still listen to pandora on occasion to discover some new artists.

Basically, except for a handful like was mentioned. But a whole lot of smaller artists are on there too. But if you have songs on your computer from an artist you want that's not on there you can sync it to whatever device through spotify and listen to your personal music as well.

And if you can get a student discount via a school email address, premium is only $5 a month.

I'll agree pandora is better than spotify's radio feature. But otherwise spotify wins. Spotify's radio still isn't that bad, but pandora is a little better for finding new music.

Spotify's suggested artists and similar artists feature is usually pretty solid though.

Guess I'm getting it.

Is XM worth it? I drive minimum 2 hours a day.

I use Google Play Music. It's pretty awesome. I feel like if Spotify and Pandora had a baby it'd be Google Play Music. The radio feature works really well and I find a lot of new music.

Isn't it like $10 a month regular?

Can I just buy a year worth?

I don't think you can pay ahead but I'm not sure. And yea regular is $10 per month. I really like being able to just look up and add a song to a playlist pretty much anywhere from my phone. Instead of forgetting the song when I get home

You can't download the songs to own, but you can sync playlists to your computer or phone or tablet and play them offline

Eta nvm didn't see who you were asking

With spotify yes. We have an offshore playlist shared with a group of us that anyone can add songs to and someone syncs it to their phone and it we play it without service on the boat

Eta I probably have 600-700 songs saved to my phone right now

Awesome that's what I need.

Trying to decide on XM, but since my car has this phone hookup thingy I might just stick to spotify first

I had free sirius for 6 months when I got my truck and didn't like it enough to want to try to keep it. I feel like the stations replay the same songs over and over. At least with spotify you can pick whatever you want and skip if you're get into an ADHD mode like I do half the time
