Evening OBers...any advice, pros/cons, you could share about the two vehicles? I saw Freaky's recent purchase of the Ranger and am anxious to read his reviews.

I also test drove the Mule FRT Crew this weekend and loved it except the lack of speed. 30mph is probably more safe, but would like to get somewhere quicker if the event occurred (apocalypse, etc). I also like that the ranger can fit in smaller trailer due to width

Looking at Crew size as it will hopefully last a long time and the boys will need it eventually. It will be used For deer, ducks, neighborhood, and I'm sure other locations.

Thanks in advance

Polaris. Rides better and doesn't use a glorified lawn mower engine

Getting people and gear to the blind has never been easier now that I have a ranger. Putting out all the decoys opening morning was a breeze.

I have a couple ranchers that we use to hunt, but I also have a Kubota RTV diesel with the hydraulic dump bed. It's a powerhouse but it's slow and heavy. Would not recommend it for hunting ducks. Great for farm/ranch applications. We had a Mule a while back and brother in law traded it in for a Ranger. He likes it a lot.

I have a mule because it is goverened at 25 mph and I let the kids drive it. For utility use it has been great. Speed wise it is sluggish.

If you joy ride or have long rides to blind or stand get a Ranger.

ISWYDT

I only got the Ranger up to 35 mph last weekend because the family was in it with me. The extra dough for the power steering is worth it.

The steering on the mule does blow unless you are moving.

I guess it boils down to your price point and how much you will actually use it.

I owned a late 90's model Mule years ago. The turning radius was abysmal.
