and I mean honestly, it's not bad. Right now I have watched through 4 episodes of season 2. My main question is, in yalls opinion, does it dip in quality or stay pretty good? The first season was 9 eps so it was easy to get through, but I see for all the rest there's like 26 episodes per season which is a shite ton of episodes overall..and it's still airing. You don't have to rank them or anything, but basically does it go through a lull where it gets boring/crappy and just goes through the motions....or is the quality relatively the same all the way throughout?

Based on whatever storylines take shape, or you just got tired of the show in general?

Yet. It eventually becomes such a shite show that I was relieved of my obligation to watch it with my wife. It's ok for the first 2-4 seasons (I don't remember exactly when it went bad), but once you start losing interest, don't be afraid to bail.

I watched pretty religiously for a few seasons and enjoyed it during that time. When certain cast members start getting killed off/leave there is a pretty big drop in quality (you'll know when you get there). One day I might finish it out but I don't know.

ETA: I want to say it was season 4-5ish

Yes. The wife and I watched it religiously through about season 4. I honestly keep thinking it is off the air until I see commercials about it.

It just got way too soap opera, and the main two chicks are completely unlikable. It's hard for me to like a show with so many unlikable characters.

Hmmmm thanks for the input. I never had the intention of catching up to live just because there's SO many episodes. But I figured I'd keep going for now since it's pretty decent. I guess I'll just trudge along until it goes south, which apparently is about halfway through.

The first couple of seasons are pretty good.

BIG drop off after that.

Yeah it's at least decent through there. I enjoyed Season 2 and Izzy's storyline in that. Probably some of my fav parts.

You'll start to wonder how in the frick these people aren't in some sort of PTSD-induced hallucinogenic coma for all the bad shite that happens to them. It really jumps the shark after about the second or third would-be life altering tragedy. Like, holy frick, the series finale will be worth tunning in for just to see the inevitable meteor level the hospital... only for Meredith to walk away.

It stays about the same.

my g/f and i started watching it on netflix and before i knew it, i was caught up.

i mean, besides these characters being the absolute unlickiest people on the planet, the show isn't that bad.

I stopped watching when the blonde doctor tried to resuscitate a deer. And if memory serves me correctly I should've stopped long before that.
