I'm in that area a decent amount for work and always think I should stop in, but I never have... will be interested to see replies.

Same here. It always reminded me of a Dempseys-esq place. Sandwiches, burgers, plate lunches that catch the older people and workers in the area.

I'm sure it's not bad.

There's not one single Yelp review though.

They have a website. Menu is exactly what I assumed.

Cheap too. Cheeseburger 'value meal' with fries and a drink is $8. I pay that at Wendy's.

I'd say that is accurate. Been a couple times for lunch. Not bad. Not amazing. Just solid, quick-ish, cheap lunch food.

Pretty tasty stuff but I find it overpriced and I have not been back since my last Chicken Philly, a great sandwich but they have decreased the amount of chicken in it drastically, I basically took the chicken out and used about 1/3 of the bread to make the sandwich... happened 2x in a row.

I live nearby and get takeout from there at least once a week. Catfish is very good and the platter with a side salad will feed two people easily. Same with the large hamburger steak.

I've been several times. I think its very boring. They have everything from spaghetti to steaks to poboys. None of it seems to be done particularly well. There arent many other options within a 5 minute drive though. Its not bad, just boring and uninventive.

Pretty much what I figured by the look of the place, the fact that you don't hear anything about it, and a look at the menu.

Funny thing is.. places like Sammy's have the same type of stuff and have 2 hour waits at night.
But maybe they execute it better.

Bawled Seafood and nostalgia.

Also, Sammys is a little better put together than Goodwood Grill

plate lunches are so so. I think their burger is awesome though. And this place is packed during lunch if that means anything.

yep, it's not set up very well. the pickup and order lines are mixed together in one aisle and that drink dispenser is setup where only one person can get to it at a time...

but as i said earlier... i love their smothered pork chops.
