Here's the deal. Ever since about midway through the second quarter of the Atlanta game the whole team has gone to shite. Drew has been off his game, coaching abandoned the run the one game we actually had it going, both lines are lacking force, and we couldn't cover LSU receivers if Jennings was the QB we were playing.

That being said, we skull drag Tampa in the Dome this week and get a bye before an absolute must win. The players and the coaches know how important that game at Detroit will be and should be fired up, and in a Dome. If we can pull that off then we have a lot of hope considering how injured Carolina is and how rough Atlanta's schedule is coming up with all the road games.

vs TB
@ Detroit
vs GB
@ Carolina
vs SF
vs Cincy
vs Bal
@ Pitt
vs Carolina
@ Chi
vs ATL
@ TB

Go 7-1 at home
Go 3-5 on the road (I'm thinking Detroit/Carolina/TB)

10-6 most likely wins the division. Just gotta go 1 game at a time and that starts with a Dome style arse kicking this weekend.

Have you not been watching this season??

There is no reason for confidence or optimism until they string together multiple games where they play well.

I'm not throwing in the towel until they lose a home game, but I'm also not going to be optimistic.

I'm just in "show me" mode.

We are losing in the trenches, on both sides of the ball. Not likely that will turn around mid season. So looks like a down year to me. I hope I am wrong.

I still feel pretty decent….even though the holes are a glaring problem

but the D at home played lights out…the O has also had it's moments but we pretty stink at least 2 quarters of every game.

until we actually lose a home game, I feel like we can still make the playoffs. which sucks in itself because a month ago we were saying Super Bowl or bust.

I don't think people realize that even as bad as we have played nothing has gone our way so far. We are 2 plays (long FG made at Atlanta and blown coverage at Clev) away from being 3-1 and on top of the division. When plays start going our way we walk away with W's

We do not.

That's a brutal schedule. It would take a very good team to be able to run that gauntlet.

We finish at .500 at best, IMO.

meh, even the blown coverage Cleveland still would have won. When is the last time a team has missed a 50+ yard FG against us? this is a serious question, because I honestly feel like kickers are fricking money versus us.

when Dallas made the long one I asked what the frick it will take for a field goal to not play clutch against us

I went to that shite show Sunday night. I haven't seen a Saints team that bad on both sides of the ball in quite sometime.

There's absolutely plenty of time no doubt, I just need to see some urgency and execution from this team. A smackdown of the Bucs would be a good place to start.

The division is still winnable, so I'm still holding out hope. Until we lose our 7th game or get eliminated (which ever comes first), I'm not giving up hope. If we can beat Tampa, we may be able to find Jesus during the bye week, then come out and run shite.

Other than the fact that it's still relatively early in the season and our division is still in grasp, we have no reason right now to believe they can turn it around.

Every week is the same excuse and the results worsen. I'm on board with "we can still clinch the NFC South", but everything else is far-fetched.

I really don't know to be honest. At this point in the season I have no idea what we have or who we have.

But that is still better than in the past. Cause back then we knew exactly what we had.
Sh!t.

Plenty of time and talent so lets see what they do with them both

Turning around... bat 50% for rest of year instead of 25%?

This is starting to feel like a god damn 7-9 season... the worst of them all.
