Its got potential But - they should have saved the Wayne murders until the last episode of the first season, and spent the episodes leading up to that moment creating ways for us to actually give a shite about the Wayne family.

I feel like this could have been better if they'd done like 4 seasons and just focused on two characters at once.

Sounds like a good idea in practice. In reality though, it the Wayne's absence rather than their presence which has affected and shaped Bruce and Gotham the most. I think I'll let the season actually play out before I start second guessing them.
