A Texas hospital is evaluating a patient whose symptoms and recent travel history raised fears of Ebola.

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas has the unidentified patient in strict isolation, the hospital said a statement late Monday, and it is complying with protocols to ensure the safety of people in the hospital.

Spokesman Stephen O'Brien told the Los Angeles Times that tests will be run Tuesday, and no other information will be released until the results are in.

The hospital's full statement says:

"Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas has admitted a patient into strict isolation to be evaluated for potential Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) based on the patient’s symptoms and recent travel history. The hospital is following all Centers for Disease Control and Texas Department of Heath recommendations to ensure the safety of patients, hospital staff, volunteers, physicians and visitors. The CDC anticipates preliminary results tomorrow."

This is like the tenth "potential Ebola patient" story. It always, always turns out to be negative.

There were a lot of New Orleanians in Dallas this past weekend.

I just thought I would do my part to fan the flames of hysteria.

This is why I use Uber. All the cabs in Dallas have fricking Ethiopian drivers. You don't know what kind of diseased crap they bring in.

Good call.
Never know when you're gonna get Ebola from a cab driver.

lol, this is posted every. single. time. a suspected Ebola patient shows up at a hospital.

This has to be the 9th or 10th suspected Ebola story to pop up since the outbreak started in Africa.

I don't know about you but I'd still rather them take all precautions like it was Ebola.

I would prefer a more panic-inducing thread title. Thank you!
