Brandon Harris and Leonard Fournette both interviewed? Did they lift the rule?

Pretty sure that was Saban's rule, not LSU

ESPN radio in Br mentioned that the rule still stands generally, but if a Fr contributes heavily to a game they can be available for postgame interviews. Take that fwiw

I doubt it. Probably made an exception on a case by case basis.

I remember hearing a while back that it was a Saban rule that Miles chose to keep.

They told CLM they had something to say about the fans. Pretty sad when freshman have to tell adults how to act. I was embarrassed by the booing Saturday night, and am ready to puke on the idiots who continue to defend it. pathetic. It's REALLY pathetic when Malechi is talking about having to play better in order to take our own fans out of the game..

Yes just for that game
If they have a big enough game and can handle it Miles will allow it
For most SEC games it will probably be back in place especially before games because they don't need any bulletin board material

Are you saying the players got motivated by the customers' displeasure?

No, Moron, I'm not. first, we aren't the players' "customers". Second, they were saying that the fans are such jacka**es that we aren't an asset to them. As in, no "home field advantage". Get it now?

A person that purchases a ticket is a customer. True, not the players' customer, but a customer of the athletic department that sold the ticket.

ETA: I wasn't defending the booing. I didn't boo. But it sounds like the players decided to let the booing affect them in a positive way, not a negative way, which is a form of motivation.

What did you see from those interviews that made you think they took the booing as a "positive"? They just won a gazillion to 7, Jennings had touchdowns on every single possession, and he and the others spent the post-game presser talking about how the fans were booing their teammate, and how it hurt Jennings, and them personally. How is that positive?

I saw Dupre's interview on 4th Down on Four on Sunday night. It was painful.

LSU should require their players to take some sort of "how to speak like you have a brain" class.

I know this kid is only 18, but it seemed like he did not understand or comprehend the words that he was speaking.

I was referring to one quote where "Malechi is talking about having to play better in order to take our own fans out of the game". So is he saying that he needs to play better so the fans don't boo? If it hurt them personally and they decide to fold and give up on the season, then that's a negative. If it hurt them personally and they decide to work their arse off and get the fans behind them, then that's motivation. Personally, I hope they do let it motivate them for the rest of the year.

You purchase a ticket, give to TAF, you're the players customer as well as the atheletic departements as well as the schools since TAF gives millions of dollars to the school every year, on top of the fact that you pay taxes in this state that gives those student athletes tops and whatever other form of benefits they recieve (food, housing, medical, etc)

Without fans, there is no team, so we are the players customers.
If they don't like getting booed, play better, if you can't play better, go to Nichols.

LSU wanted to make things more corporate and bring in more money. They succeeded. If that money feels like voicing their displeasure with the product they pay for, so be it.
