Game looks fantastic this year, graphics got a huge face lift with the NBA2k design. Mycareer mode will be the tits as well

The only thing that bugs me is the "rather limited" options for CAW. I suck at creating replicas so I just create something I like as a finished product.

I played the Smackdown games like 10 years ago and you were allowed to tat up the guys big time..I haven't played in over a decade but I'm sure it hasn't changed much

The way it sounds to me, is when you first create the guy, it is very limited. Which makes sense, you are a nobody who is basically learning to wrestle, but the further you progress the more you will be able to do to build your character. I hope that is the way it is anyway.
