Brandon Harris, QB, LSU
• Came off the bench to lead LSU to a 63-7 win over New Mexico State ...Took over early in the second quarter with LSU holding a 14-0 lead.
• Led LSU to touchdowns on all seven possessions that he was quarterback and accounted for five TDs in the win ... Became first true freshman in LSU history to throw 3 TDs passes in a game.
• Also rushed for 2 TDs to become the first true freshman in school history to account for 5 TDs in a game ... Connected on 11-of-14 passes for 178 yards and 3 scores and rushed for 36 yards and 2 TDs vs. New Mexico State.
• Dating back to last week's game vs. Mississippi State, has directed TD drives on 9 of his 10 possessions at quarterback.

If he leads LSU past AU, then he could very well become legendary...if we lose, the scramble will begin again...I say this because AU has a solid team and this could mark a change in the years outcome...but we've got to get some push in the D line or else...

Freshman of the week after playing New Mexico State... don't see that too much. If he plays like that against Auburn, expectations will be through the roof.

Hope he can bring it back to BR. I'm content to wait for the next two seasons, but I'll be damned if a surprise showing this season wouldn't answer the mail.

When is the last time an LSU QB had multiple rushing and passing TDs in the same game? Add that with a 70+ completion % and zero turnovers.
