First the nutsacks that were booing and now today's news. Hope the kid can stay positive because I'm sure we'll need him again.

He didn't get as far as he has by being mentally weak. He'll be fine.

you are truly a compassionate fan. You should send him a tweet with 140 characters of good vibes.

As a parent, I can't help but feel bad for the young man. I hope he knows real adults don't feel that way.

Anyone competitive enough to get to the level of starting at QB for a school like LSU knows that it's all about competition. Anyone that competitive simply redoubles their efforts. Such folks typically don't losing like the non-competitive folks of the world. With rare exception, such folks view losing(a game or a starting spot) as a reason to work harder.

Marcus Randle led us to victory against Florida at a time when I thought Jamarcus had taken the job for good.

Things can change quickly.

And even if Jennings never starts another game, if he's a typical competitive person, he'll bust his arse the whole time knowing that football is a game where literally every play could result in you being a starter again. This aint chess. People get hurt!!!

Don't see why this is being downvoted so much. Obviously Harris should start, no doubt, but it would suck to be in AJ's shoes right now, with the fanbase being extremely upset with Miles over the possibility of playing you, the boos (even if they were booing Miles and not you, they're still booing Miles over his decision to play you).

I'm sure he'll be okay, and I'm sure Les has talked to him, but this definitely isn't a good weekend for him.

i agree with this.

On the other hand - I'd bet a lot of people would gladly trade getting booed in TS for starting in TS.

Jennings is tough, he'll bounce back. I can easily imagine the roles being reversed at some point this year, where Harris is struggling and Jennings comes in and plays well. These guys both know they will have to contribute at some point and have each other's backs.

Everyone wishes the kid well, even those who boo'ed.

He is an adult and also a kid, and will adapt and learn. He knows that Harris has his back, as do the coaches and the team, so those folks and his family will rally to nurse his ego and psyche.

Miles was attempting to protect his psyche and was actually doing it much more damage than help. Jennings is definitely not ready for LSU level of play, and Miles risked his development significantly by trying so hard to protect him.

Miles has done this before. He is obviously telling the kids something that is not working.

Harris will make mistakes. As the ESPN folks (and everyone else)has said, that is no reason not to give Harris a chance to perform and also make mistakes.

Bottom line is he was given more than a fair chance and is no where ready to perform. Not even close.

Turn the channel, we should he, and lets move in unison behind our new starter, Mr Brandon Harris.

There are jobs where not performing to standard can and will result in massive shaming. And, of course, there are those(the vast majority) that do not.

Typically, the people who pick jobs or even hobbies where there is a great deal of scrutiny over performance are keenly aware of this reality and hell, even thrive on it.

You folks are acting like Jennings is a reject from art class that we put on the field as QB. Individuals who would let this stuff destroy them mentally aren't D1 QBs in the first place.

I'm sure Jennings is fine.

We need him just for the sake of competition and learning.

Hell. BH is not terribly large. He could use about 20lbs. I'd say the odds AJ has to get out there again are high. Let's hope he learns in the meantime.
