Think back to the past few LSU national or even SEC championships the Tigers have won. There was always those 1-2 guys that showed up to play every Sat. and while they may have looked silly at times over the course of their career in Tiger Town they continued to excel/get better. Welter is obviously one of those guys and he apparently adds some much needed team chemistry just like those before him. Oh yea and he's a SENIOR! That word needs to mentioned every now and then along w the term leadership.
Fast forward to the future and here we are again - poised for another run at an SEC title with a very, very talented "team" especially at the skilled positions. We'll probably continue to see Welter on some key downs during Auburn game and don't be surprised if he makes a key play somewhere along the line to help secure victory. One thing is for sure - he will be on the field and needed. Hail to the Chief as well if he pulls the improbable victory off. I like our chances......

Sorry, he's no Jack Hunt or Craig Steltz

Here's where you lost me.

I just want LSU to have a winning SEC record every year, not your pie in the sky championship.
We have not been recruiting the lineman to win a championship.

He's still not bad as Dunson. I think Welter has improved. He should be on the field AT TIMES. But not all the time.

Actually I'd be shocked because the next time he does that will be the first time he does that.

Welter has improved, but that's really not saying much.

I'll go w this for best response mainly b/c it's positive and more realistic IMHO. He's more along the Jack Hunt line w the senior leadership. Hunt was a very good DB.

No he is not.
