Fun begins here

how long until apple starts putting the phones behind glass cases?

moral to the story, don't tell some kids that "6+ iphones cannot be bent..thats just a hoax"

eta reminds me of the old days i would go into a compusa and walk down the row of PCs hitting 'escape' on each on to leave them at the DOS prompt..then walk back hitting 'format c:' ENTER on each

lol..i still remember watching a compusa employee standing there scratching his head looking at a row of blank computer screens

Booting them up in Linux with a CD was always fun too.

I had one of those remotes that would cycle every power code in every manufacturer brand. That was always fun at BB to make all the TVs turn off.

Permanently damaging things seems to take a good prank too far for me though.

oh no doubt the little shits are vandals.

but like i pointed out, they were told repeatedly by the apple employees it was a hoax and impossible to bend an iphone by hand so of course you tell a kid he can't do something....

yeah it's called destruction of property, which at-least in the united states (they sound british) is a misdemeanor. He probably have to pay at-least the value of the phone, maybe more.

They are definitely little shits. There's a difference in buying iphones to test them and walking into a store and damaging property. Did you see how hard they had to work to bend the damn 6+? If anything, it made me feel better about getting my 6 soon.

quote:

Update 2:35PM EST: In a follow-up video, Kylie has apologized for the misguided act and says he takes full responsibility for the broken iPhone. He also clarified that they only damaged a single iPhone during the Apple Store trip; the multiple takes are reportedly of the same device. The article has been updated to reflect this.

Kylie says he and Danny are willing to pay to replace the damaged iPhone 6 Plus and don't plan to bend other units. "We know what we did was wrong." He also notes that it didn't take much pressure to bend the phone, but expresses doubt that it would bend while being carried in someone's pocket. Kylie does indeed sound genuinely remorseful about the whole situation, and says he hopes to be contacted by Apple directly to resolve it — if the company even decides to take things that far.

Where's the video of an unbent iphone going into a pocket and coming out bent? Isn't that the actual concern? What does it prove that one can intentionally apply enough force to damage a cell phone? Failure to be indestructible against intentional destructive forces seems to be a pretty weak argument against iPhones.

If they put an ad at the beginning of their video, they will more than recover the cost of the iPhone.

this was probably forced by someone, read their comments on their youtube video before they posted this apology video. They seemed to think their actions were justified.
