Things suck when you don't have Liriano and Santana in your stable.

Wasn't too long ago, he was considered one of the best managers in the game.

He's not a bad manager at all. He just wasn't given the tools to succeed imo.

I don't know enough about RG to feel one way or another about him coming to the astros. he seems like an old school baseball guy which is not teh profile Lunhow wants. not sure if he embraces the shifts/saber stuff

Hasn't changed in my eyes either to be honest. I'd love him with the Cubs, but Theo already said Renteria will return.

I'm a Tiger fan, but I've always respected Gardenhire. Wonder if he'd go to AZ after they fired Gibson

They need to let the GM go too, it's hard to win when your only SP with an ERA better than 4.47 is Phil Hughes and your best hitter is Mauer in only 120 games then Trevor Plouffe/Danny Santana/Brian Dozier.

They should be commended for not having the #1 pick.

Terry Ryan left the team a few years ago after a decade of building an outstanding farm system that brought up many players who the Twins won with and kept for a few years until they cashed their big checks elsewhere. When Ryan left, the building stopped in the farmed system. He came back after two or three years and never got it re-started. So, they have nothing in the pipeline now, in addition to having little on their roster.

But is it great enough to work for Jon the Moron Daniels? Besides I think Bogar earned the job with his end of season performance.

He was raised in Oklahoma and went to Texas...maybe he'd go to a place like the Arlington if they'd want him.

A reputation that was built on the opinions of people who looked at Minnesota as a destined to be
non-contender, rather than a team that could win a World Series, like it had twice in the 15 years prior to Gardenhire hiring.

Er...they're regarded as having one of the better minor league organizations now. They're consistently rated as having a Top 5 farm system, with talents like Sano and Buxton regarded among the best prospects in the game.

Not trying to be pissy here- But I read the Star Trib daily (17 years). There is no hint of hope in the pipeline since the Ryan sabbatical. If you have inside information, please share.
