Filet Knife
Posted by GEAUXLPOST on 9/29/14 at 11:59 am00
Looking for a decent filet knife to clean redfish. I don't really want an electric because everyone I ever had either burned up or broke. Don't want to spend a ton, but would like a decent knife. Also, I have no clue if it should be serrated or not. Seems like a serrated knife would get through the scales easier, but might tear up the meat.
Any suggestions?

I use Dexter. They sell them at True Value in Houma and usually have all kinds of them in stock. Academy is always sold out. Songy's has some also. Assuming you figured out who i am by now, Text me if you want me to pick one up and I can get one for you after work one day.

They come with stickers, need to be pre-chilled, and are un-necessarily heavy?

I bought a coleman xtreme the other day and I'm VERY impressed with it. I like the price a lot too.
