quote:

US military veterans from the Truman National Security Project have written an open letter to Fox News complaining that offensive comments about a female United Arab Emirates pilot were "unwarranted" and "fundamentally opposed to what the military stands for."

quote:

“Problem is, after she bombed it, she couldn’t park it," Gutfeld said. "Would that be considered boobs on the ground, or no?" Bolling followed up.

From the letter:

quote:

Perhaps the phrase “boys will be boys”—inevitably uttered wherever misogyny is present—is relevant. Men would never insult and demean a fellow servicemember; boys think saying the word ‘boobs’ is funny.

quote:

The less obvious implication of your remarks, however, is that by offending an ally and cheapening her contribution, you are actively hurting the mission. We need to send a clear message that anyone, male or female, who will stand up to ISIS and get the job done is worthy of our respect and gratitude.

I thought comedians were free from criticism? Or is that just liberal ones?

Boiling's not really a comedian. He's supposed to be a "serious" guy on Fox. He's terrible and I have no idea how he still has a job. That being said, I really hope:

is complete bullshite. If a bad joke made by a dumbass on Fox in the afternoon affects the mission, our military is fricked.

The way I read it, they weren't really outraged about what Gutfeld said. Then again, his quip was funny.

ETA: I see they addressed the letter to both of them. That's pathetic.

So FOX has stooped to employing comedians to deliver the news?

Gutfeld hosts a comedy show at 3 a.m ET called "Red Eye". He is also the light humored guy on the afternoon panel show, "The Five".

Real news is still read by real newsmen. I would think you would appreciate the skills of Shepherd Smith.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, one of the Red Eye panel is a homosexual male.

Why does Toddy hate gay people so much?

His joke is somewhat benign and obviously only slightly distasteful given that he is supposed to be the "funny" guy. Boiling's little quip is what really pushed it way over the edge. And he's not a comedian by trade, correct?

Bill left the show about a year ago and was replaced by a former Miss New York. I actually don't have cable and therefore watch no cable news, but full episodes of Red Eye are frequently uploaded to YouTube.

Ha. That dumb arse was indignant over Obama's salute. He said Obama should "respect the troops that serve" on the very same show he said "boobs on the ground". What a tool.

Pro tip: don't try to take up for Fox. The network is shite. Its raison d'etre is scaring 60 year olds and older into thinking the coloreds are taking over the country.
