The Saints have great players..

but they're not getting the job done. The sole responsibility of gathering talent and moulding that talent into one cohesive unit lies with the front office and the head coach. Dallas had the same problem last year. Great talent but failed to utilize it properly. Now they are playing to their strengths, emphasizing the run behind an O line thats taken years to build through the draft. They simplified the passing taking pressure off of an aging and battered Tony Romo. Now Dallas may not win a lot of games but so far it's obvious they are a much better team than the Saints at this point in the season.
Thank God we're not 0-4. I mean that. This team has some bad ju ju to shake and I have no idea how or if that will happen this season. There was very little fire in their play last night. We may be looking at another whiff season for our Saints, so if we can re-evaluate our expectations and let them grow into the team they can be instead of increasing our level of disappointment with each loss everyone will be better for it. My take on this team is no playoffs, 6-7 wins and top 10 pick in the draft...

I thought Ryan did simplify the def and their guys just beat our guys one on one across the whole 11 starting players. Period.
Play calling on offence seems vanilla in the extreme.
CSP seems to be trying to feature "Travaris Cadet"?
Special teams seems to have quit. Cadet and Byrd? We just say NO to any run backs It seeems.
25% in and we are still in camp mode.

We forced third downs and couldn't get off the field. I thought, overall, we were in good position to make plays but didn't

I really think the franchise is in rebuild mode. Our best players on offense are past their prime, and the defense is off. The players there should be hitting their prime but aren't clicking. I definitely think we need another Rush OLB and a CB.
The problem is that we haven't drafted well. 2013 was the only effective draft we've had in awhile. You can't keep your talent up withou a good draft.
